Enrolling/Withdrawing Students
Enrolling Your Student
If your student will be enrolling at Grayson High School, we ask families to make an appointment for registration so we can ensure the registration process can take place in a timely manner and our registration team can devote our full attention to you and your student. Appointments will take place in person at Grayson HS.
In order to make your student's registration as efficient as possible, please review the following information to prepare for your student's registration:
- If you are a brand-new student of Gwinnett County, please follow this link to register for New Student Enrollment/Registration - Gwinnett County Public Schools. You will be asked to upload documents as you complete the form. Please ensure you review the 2024-25_Required_Documents for new student registration as there are documents you must complete and upload prior to your appointment.
- If you are having trouble uploading documents, please refer to How to Upload Documents for Online Registration.
- Make an appointment to come into the school to complete the registration process or withdraw a student. When you are on campus to register your student, you will speak with a counselor to discuss course placement and choose electives (subject to availability). You must be the enrolling parent to withdraw a student.
- Your registration will not be complete until we have received all required documents.
Residency Affidavits
Residency affidavits should be renewed by families each school year. The following documents are required:
-
A notarized Residency Affidavit signed by the individual with whom the student's parent/guardian is residing verifying that the enrolling parent/guardian is residing in that home or apartment. When the residence is an apartment of someone else, the affidavit must also be witnessed by the apartment manager, and
- Proof of residency documents for that individual with whom the parent/guardian is residing ( See Proof of Residency as stated previously).
The individual with whom the student's parents/guardian is residing must accompany the parent to the school to provide identification, and proof of residency.
Students who live with their parents or legal guardians, but reside in the home of another adult, and are seeking enrollment in Gwinnett County Public Schools, must complete a Residency Affidavit form and turn it in to your school upon registration.
